Scie-Citizens is an Erasmus+ project that works horizontally and across sectors. New and innovative methods aimed at involving citizens in science and research are collected, reviewed and published. The aim is to remove boundaries within the educational sector and to enable open, new methods for lifelong learning.
Scie-Citizens will create synergies and methods to create modern smart curricula, put together to bridge formal and non-formal education, higher education and research. The approach will help participants in adult education to improve their skills by learning from other sectors.
The mission of Scie-Citizens is to promote civil science through knowledge sharing, cooperation and capacity building.
The project aims to encourage a broad and meaningful participation in civil science by promoting inclusivity and cooperation, and by facilitating a society that is open to sharing best practices, knowledge and tools in order to gain recognition of the value and impact of civil science.
Through partnerships, and experience and knowledge exchange, the project will contribute to an inclusive education, embedded in lifelong learning in order to increase the opportunities for all people within the educational sector to be involved in science and research.
