History

 

Change Maker was established in 1996 in connection with the “Generator”, an entrepreneurship contest which was made in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers.

A large number of enthusiasts and potential start-ups had after the competition need of support in various ways to increase the opportunity to realize their projects. In that way Change Maker was based – based after need. We have continued with all the things that interest us most – to learn new skills and to develop others and ourselves.

We take missions in project and process management, leadership development, workshops and training, as well as running our own educations and projects when we see it’s suitable.

Change Maker has – as the name suggests – during the years had different shapes, sizes and orientations. Not that we don’t know what we want, but that the world itself is large and changing. And so are we. We manage nothing without questioning.

1999-2000, we worked example with Swit – a Swedish education initiative for answering the need for competent staff to the IT sector. During this period, we carried out even event “Going Ape to Stay Human” with brain researcher Björn Merker and Gothenburg Science Festival, where we noted that “we humans are not only creative and innovative thinking – we are also like animals. Dancing and singing”.

In 2001 we survived the It crash. An acid test. Not just evil, but also good. During the following years we continued with various consulting and project assignments, including the start of a new Advanced Vocational education at the Institute of Technology at Blekinge, with many lessons and new connector wires as a result.

2002-2003, we made preliminary studies of two more Advanced Vocational Educations and started both Game Maker, and KY Produktionsteknik, together with consulting and project assignments in progress.

2004, we were all on maternity leave and worked.

In 2005, all our focus was in Arvika. Regional Development, projekt Musikstanden and establishment of the Arvikafestival project education: Opus 1600 / Galaxen Creative.This year vibrated Arvika of possibilities and visions. We threw ourselves in completely with energy, methods, and a rock-solid belief in educations as an engine for change work, which we have been confirmed since then.

2006-2010 we worked on with Vocational Educations and joined international projects to develop new software of Open Source and PyPy. We have also worked with development workshops and leadership of environmental conferences.

Change Maker has been pragmatic, opportunistic and stubbornly worked with what concerns us most – to learn new skills and to develop. Everything has not changed.We have had a core of people who have personified the company over the years. And a lot of people around us. We have faithful partners such as Neohouse, and faithful customers, such as Learning Tree. And maybe you, who read this?

Almost fifteen years of accumulated experience with a wide range of skilled networkers around us, will today make us a represent for the small business flexible in size and mid-sized business in terms of experience and how we can lift and achieve.

We own nothing without questioning. We are as long as we can create value.
